The 2011 All Africa Team Championship (Sudirman cup format) and the All Africa Individuals were successfully held in Morocco 04-12 May 2011. Results below.

Team event:
Winner : South Africa (RSA)
Runner up : Nigeria (NGR)
Semi Finalists : Egypt (EGY) & Mauritius (MRI)

Marrakech, 7 May 2011.  South Africa retained its position as Continental Badminton Champions when they beat Nigeria 3-2 in a nail-biting final round.

Starting with mixed doubles, brother and sister combination Wiaan and Annari Viljoen won easily in two sets.  Both singles were lost in tight 3-setters on setting in the third set and South Africa then won the ladies doubles in three sets.  With the score on 2-2 and in a race to the wire the mens doubles combination of Dorian James and Wiaan Viljoen managed to pull it of by beating the Nigerians in 3 closely-contested sets.
